New iLaunch™ Wireless Launch Controller
Revolutionary development in launch controller technology!
Completely wireless between you and your rocket on the launch pad.
No more messy launch cable to deal with.
Your cell phone becomes a launch controller.
The iLaunch app works on all Apple iOS and Android 7.1 phones and newer. The iLaunch app is available in the Apple App Store or Android Google Play.
Small iLaunch control box attaches directly to your launch pad and allows you to confirm initial continuity. Requires 2-handed operation just like a professional launch controller.
The iLaunch control box features multiple safety interlocks, including an armed/disarmed safety key.
Once armed, the control screen features a blinking Armed indicator.
The launch sequence can be stopped at any time by removing your thumbs from either the Arming and/or Launch buttons.
The iLaunch app confirms connection with the launch pad, signals Armed Status, initiates a 5-second countdown, and launches your rocket.
The iLaunch disarms itself after lift-off.
The iLaunch uses short-range wireless technology and FailSafe user ID coding to lock in and assure control only by you.
The iLaunch has a range of up to 150 ft. from the launch pad.
The iLaunch “Drag Race” feature allows you to control multiple launch pads at the same time.
Perfect for launching model rockets, mid-power kits, and high-powered rocket vehicles using up to “I” size rocket motors.
Requires 4 AA size 3.2V Lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries for operation - Not Included.
An additional firmware update will be necessary to accommodate these higher voltage lithium iron phosphate batteries. This can be easily done through the app when the customer initially uses their iLaunch Controller. A special label has also been added to the iLaunch retail display clamshell package recommending the lithium iron phosphate rechargeable batteries and where to get them.
These developments have resulted in significantly improved performance of the new iLaunch Wireless Launch Controller. Currently, it appears that the inexpensive, AA size 3.2 Volt, lithium iron phosphate rechargeable batteries will deliver hundreds of launchings on a single charge.
