The actual Sandia Tomahawk was most often flown as the sustainer in a two-stage configuration.

The scale (single stage) version of the Tomahawk sounding rocket measures over 3 feet tall (38.35"). A body tube is sliced into sections which are glued between the fins. A template is provided to mark the cutting lines. The plywood fins are pre-cut. Decals are for the retainers bolts on the plates between the fins only. The bands on the rocket are painted.
